He is an entrepreneur and blockchain executive with over 25 years of experience in Silicon Valley, including board roles at Ripple, MoneyGram, Bitso and other fintech startups. At Ripple, he helped launch its first enterprise crypto product and scale the company from startup to over 1,000 employees. Asheesh holds an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan. He also guest lectures on entrepreneurship and blockchain.
As Chief Financial Officer, Matt oversees Evernorth's financial strategy and operations. Over the course of his career in investment banking, asset management, and fintech leadership, he has served on the board of directors for over 15 companies and as Chairman of the Chicago Stock Exchange. He spent 20 years at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and affiliates as head of the Global Strategic Capital division where he managed over $8 billion of balance sheet capital. Matt holds a Bachelor's degree from Colby College.
As Chief Investment Officer, Hugo leads Evernorth's XRP treasury strategy, overseeing capital allocation, liquidity and the active management of the company's XRP holdings. He brings more than a decade of institutional trading and portfolio management experience across digital assets and traditional markets. Before joining Evernorth, he was Co-Chief Investment Officer at Coinbase Asset Management, where he ran the Solutions business, designing and managing bespoke investment strategies for institutional investors. He previously served as Coinbase's lead derivatives trader, responsible for options, futures and on-chain markets. Prior to Coinbase, Hugo traded interest rate derivatives at HSBC in New York. He began his career at Société Générale as a fixed income trading analyst and later worked as a front-office quantitative strategist in equities. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from McGill University and a Master of Science in Quantitative Finance from Bocconi University.
As Chief Legal Officer, Jess leads Evernorth's legal and regulatory strategy. After practicing commercial litigation and clerking in the Eastern District of New York, she held senior roles at Gemini and American Express, and served as Chief Legal Officer of the Bitcoin Legal Defense Fund. Jess has been instrumental in shaping regulatory frameworks for digital assets and has extensive experience advising companies across the blockchain ecosystem. Jess holds a J.D. from UNC School of Law and a Bachelor's degree from Wesleyan University.
As Chief Risk Officer, Boris oversees Evernorth's financial risk strategy and controls framework. He brings two decades of experience in risk management and financial controls across both digital assets and traditional banking institutions. He most recently spent four years at Coinbase, where he built the market risk management team and subsequently led the Financial Control and Analytics team. Prior to Coinbase, he spent 16 years at HSBC USA in various senior roles, including Head of the Traded Risk team and Product Control Senior Manager. Boris holds a Master in Finance from Brandeis University and a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering from PUC-Rio, Brazil.
As Chief Operating Officer, Meg drives Evernorth's operational excellence, go-to-market strategy, and organizational growth. Her career spans consulting, venture capital, and entrepreneurship. A fintech pioneer with two decades of financial services expertise, she brings deep experience in building and scaling payment technologies. She founded and led Apto Payments as CEO, where she built the card infrastructure and payment processing platform for major fintech companies including Coinbase and Venmo. She holds a Bachelor's degree from Princeton University.
As Chief Business Officer, Sagar oversees partnerships, product commercialization, and ecosystem strategy. He began his career in investment banking, private equity and corporate development, and has spent the majority of the past decade in the XRP ecosystem. At Ripple, he helped scale blockchain based cross-border payments, led the acquisition of digital asset custody platform Metaco, and helped launch the Ripple stablecoin ("RLUSD"). Sagar holds an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor's degree from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
As Chief Communications Officer, Charles leads Evernorth's communications, marketing and brand strategy. He brings nearly 20 years of experience across government, Fortune 100 and high-growth technology companies. He most recently led communications at Joby Aviation, guiding the company through FAA certification milestones, partnerships with Delta, Uber and Toyota, and international expansion. Previously, he led Opendoor's corporate and product communications, supporting revenue growth up to a $20 billion run rate and co-managing its 2020 public listing. He began his career on Capitol Hill shaping communications through landmark technology policy debates on the Senate Commerce and House Energy & Commerce Committees, before moving into senior communications and marketing roles at Yahoo and Verizon Media. Charles holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
